However you ll find that their grout lines can be a lot harder to notice in the case of these.
All other cuts of tile from tumbled to chiseled to punched contain slight variations in shape and size.
In truth rectified tiles allow for a thinner grout line.
If that s the case you can use a 1 16 grout line and not have any problems.

Special types such as slate or quarry tiles often do not have edges uniform enough to look good with tight spacing.

Large format tiles with 1 16 or 1 32 grout lines and a grout that matches the tile color closely looks great.
With a minimal grout joint you ll have a floor that does just about everything a hardwood floor does.
Then measure several different tiles from different boxes.
Rectified tiles are perfectly uniform with precisely defined edges requiring the least amount of grout.
Tiles must be spaced evenly using spacers and weight must be kept off it while it sets.
